Christmas Tradition

A Family Tradtion is to go to the Center House and watch the train, ride the monorail, have lunch downtown and ride the carrousel.
Lita, Dillon, Dawson and I met Auntie Bekah for lunch. It was a dry day in Seattle - which was great.

Introducing Dawson to the cows.

Dillon and Kayla showed Dawson how to feed the cows, pine branches and apples. Dawson thought it was great fun.

Baking cookies at Auntie Bekah's

Last year Cindy and Bekah made cookies. This year Kayla, Dillon and I came to help.

Russian Tea cakes and spritz are family favorites. We also made sugar and shortbread cookies.

Flooding in Centralia

To see a very good video of what has happened to our neighborhood
go to www.chronline.com
wait for the flood aftermath to load under Multimedia and take a look.
Thanks for your prayers.
We are high and dry but many of our neighbors are not. Now the work
of cleaning up begins.

National Guard - Thank you for coming

At exit 88 near our house the National Guard makes sure you don't try to enter I-5 south.

I sure many of you have stopped at the Country Cousin or Safeway at exit 82 in
Centralia. The National Guard is not usually there. Life is different right now.
We are safe and dry, sold genorators today to people coming from a distance away.
Go to Bekah and Jarrod's blog to see the lake just down the street from them.
Jarrod was stranded and didn't make it to work.

My new office

Ced spent the weekend painting and putting new floor in the office at work.
Jarrod helped with putting a new desk together and with painting.
It rained all day on Monday, we drove through a bit of water over the road way on the way to work. Going home was even worse.
As we found out that was only the beginning.
