I - 5 is closed and the trucks can not park on the freeway so Harrison is the next place.

On the way to work it was a line of semi's and the Dairy Queen and lot behind the gas station was full too.

Just passed the juntion the water is ready to come over the road only a little so far.

A few blocks from the shop is a bridge and the water is high and covering much of the land to the west of us. We are higher and dry :)

My Mom has moved to Lacey, to an Assisted Living Community. E-mail me and I will send you her address.

We were able to move more of her funiture than we original thought. It is a big change for her moving away from Edmonds and Seattle.

There is a park across the street and last Sunday we able to spend some time walking and visiting. It is only a 25 minute drive for me so I can go several times a week. It took 2 hrs to get to Shoreline and some times as many as 4 hours to get home. :)
It has been a long time since I have posted any pictures. I may posted some of my favorites from this summer.

We noticed one of the cows was very big we now know why! She gave birth to twins, they are in the back lying down. They don't stay standing too long yet, they are only a couple days old.
The one is the front is just over a month old.

This is one of the twins he is very thin but will soon be as big as the one in the forfront above.

Home and Garden Show

March 28th - 30th was the Home and Garden Show in Centralia. It was a busy weekend Ced, Jarrod, Bekah and I were there most of Sat. and Sunday. These are some of the items we sell at the Power Shop. We are located between Exit 82 and 88 on Harrison Ave.
We are loacated south of Great Wolf Lodge stop bye if your driving on I-5.

March 23rd - Our 34th Wedding Anniversary

Matt, Lita, Kayla, Dillon and Dawson gave us a night stay on Whidbey Island at the Guest House Log Cottage bed and breakfast.
We had a delightful relaxing evening, farm fresh eggs for breakfast and a nice ferry ride.
It was great fun!
The last 3 yrs we have spent our anniversary at the Home and Garden Show, but with Easter early the Home and Garden Show was moved to this coming weekend.

National Guard - Thank you for coming

At exit 88 near our house the National Guard makes sure you don't try to enter I-5 south.

I sure many of you have stopped at the Country Cousin or Safeway at exit 82 in
Centralia. The National Guard is not usually there. Life is different right now.
We are safe and dry, sold genorators today to people coming from a distance away.
Go to Bekah and Jarrod's blog to see the lake just down the street from them.
Jarrod was stranded and didn't make it to work.

Jarrod helped with putting a new desk together and with painting.
It rained all day on Monday, we drove through a bit of water over the road way on the way to work. Going home was even worse.
As we found out that was only the beginning.

Victorian Country Christmas

The Christmas season has begun. Today Greg, Bekah and I spent the afternoon and
evening at the Victorian Country Christmas.
It is an event held at the Puyallup Fair Grounds,
being the fair ground is privately owned they can
cellebrate Christ birth. These are part of the Living
Nativity signs from last year, that were also used
this year. The music is different this year a wonderful
event. It is at the Fair grounds till Sunday, well worth the
trip.
Fun shopping, good food, great company and topped off with
a celebration of Christmas carols and Praise to our Lord.

Kayla stacked and Dawson knocked down the blocks that have been in the family over 25 years.

Dillon got to play golf with Pom Pom, Matt and Jarrod, the course is at the neighbors near Bekah and Jarrod's new house. It was a fun afternoon for the guys. Kayla helped me decorate for Christmas. Matt had come down Friday night and gone hunting Sat. and shot a deer, with a bow.

I am so Thankful for our family! This was in June on Dawson's 1st Birthday. Yoda and Scooter joined the group the two family dogs.
Chad was not able to make it - it is difficult to get all 15 of us together.

When Kayla turned 10 in Feb. we promised her a meal at the Space Needle :) it has taken us awhile to get schedules so we could go.

With a camera and speaker and an updated computer, (which Bekah has) we can skype Cindy in NOLA. We took my Mom to Bekah's work on Sept 25th and let her skype. It was great fun for her to see Cindy and the boys. Cindy was using her lap top so she took it out side her house and gave Great Nana the tour of her house.
After Bekah, Mom and I went to Spagetti Factory for dinner. A fun afternoon.

On Sunday the 16th we (Ced, Diane, Bekah and Jarrod) flew to New Orleans to see the Carlson's. Ced and Jarrod only could stay till Tues, but Bekah and I stayed till Sat.
We went to the River walk, the Zoo, had bengai's (French donuts) and a wonderful time with Andrew, Nicholas, Cindy and Chad.

We did find some time to relax.

On Wed meeting started for the Working Smarter training, which Ced, I and our employees have been doing for the last year. (I went in the rain Wed to pick up Bekah and Jarrod) On Thurs. we formed Teams and went to Epcot to do a "Playing with a Purpose." It was a day of observing things we felt Disney could do better, not an easy task.
We started at 9 AM and spent till 3PM with task and options in a race, similar to the Amazing Race, around the world at Epcot.
We had a polorid camera and so I didn't get a picture of our team. There were 10 of us from all over the US. It was a busy fun day in the heat.

A busy Sept. Weekend

Bekah & I started Tues. evening canning pickles. Friday with Ced's help Bekah & I harvested the garden. Ced and Jarrod used the tiller on Saturday and finished the process. Sunday Bekah and I canned pickled beets, garlic and garlic with mixed vegetables. After all are work we decided dinner out sounded good.

A project Ced and Chad started before Chad left was completed by Ced and Jarrod.
We are now ready for campfires. We were all too tired last night but maybe this evening, smores. :)

August 21st Happy B"day to Me

On my birthday I spent the day in Edmonds. Leaving Centralia at 5:30 AM with Bekah, I met my friend Rebecca for coffee at 7:30 and was at Lita's by 9AM with birthday presents for Dillon (he turned 8 on the 16th). We went school clothes shopping for Kayla and Dillon.

Lita, Kayla, Dillon and Dawson treated me to lunch at "Ruby" it was a very fun time.
I spent the late afternoon visiting my Mom and then off to Seattle to pick up Bekah.

We met Ced and Jarrod in Olympia for dinner overlooking the water. I very nice day and I have reached "60" and had a great day. Thanks to all my family who called and friends to make it a very special day.

Fun in Colorado

Aug. 11th to the 17th I was in Este's Park, Co. with Andrew and Nicholas we played in the pool and at the river. We also visited Cindy & Chad at the YMCA camp 2 miles from us. At even higher elevation. The elevation does funny things to you and your body.
We had a great time but it was a great place to visit, I am in NO hurry to go back.

Angel and Noel - Bekah and Jarrod's are staying with friends for a few months. This was an e-mail after they had been there for 4 days.
We are not sure they will want to return, their new life is very nice. :) Noel weighs about 80lbs. she is the one on Jamie.

The doggies are making the transition very comfortably as you can see from the enclosed pic. We had a BBQ here yesterday and they were very well behaved. Everybody really enjoyed them as well as Judy and I. Talk to you later..............Jamie and Judy

Changes in Centralia Chad leave Bek and Jarrod arrive

3 hrs after Chad left - Bekah and Jarrod arrived with their last load from Kent. They sign papers this week and turn over their keys.
They will be staying with us till they either find a house or property to build.
Bekah will work 3 days a week in Seattle spending Tue. and Wed. nights with a friend in Ballard. Monday and Friday she will work from home, which is now our house in Centralia.

Sat. 28 was the annual Anderson / Syre Picnic of 4 Generations. The cousins had fun doing a Pinata' give to me by Cindy before she left for NOLA. Dillon helped us fill it,
with candy and fun surpises Auntie Bekah found. Kayla was a big help making sure all the younger cousins got candy and extra prizes.

On July 17th Cindy, Andrew, Nicholas and I flew to New Orleans. I returned alone on the 23rd.
Cindy and Chad will soon be moving into a house. Chad is driving leaving Sunday the 29th for a second trip to NOLA, this time with a moving truck and their stuff. 1st trip was with the van.

It is hard to get 14 faces all the same way + plus the 2 dogs. Kayla wrote a paper this year and mentioned her dog's cousin Yoda, which is Bekah and Jarrod's dog. Kayla has their dog Scooter.

We missed Chad today he had to be in Portland but it was great to have the rest of the group together. It may be the last time we are all in the same place before Cindy, Chad and the boys move to New Orleans.

On our way to work each day we pass the construction site of the Great Wolf lodge and water park.

We are looking forward to spend a night there with the family and enjoying all that it offers in the years to come. It will definately bring some changes to our area.

After lunch at Cindy's the two older boys and I went to play putt putt golf.

The boats spray water but we were nice and didn't spray each other. :)
The sun was out but it was still cool. Dawson and Nicolas were at Cindy's napping.
